Laredo ISD Elementary Science Department Mission

The mission of the Laredo ISD Elementary Science Department is to provide students in grades PreK-5th with quality science education. By implementing the district science curriculum, LISD is committed to ensuring all students receive science instruction by incorporating hands-on experiences and science investigations to develop inquiry-based learning and prepare young scientists for future science experiences.

The LISD Elementary Science Department will meet students’ science learning needs by encouraging curiosity within the classrooms, providing relevant and developmentally appropriate experiences, and emphasizing science’s role in everyday life today and in the future.
