The mission of the Staff Development Department is to provide learning opportunities to LISD staff which will:

• Improve the quality of teaching.

• Enhance the ability of individuals to manage district-wide programs and student support programs.

• Support staff to serve in leadership roles as agents of change and promoters of reform.

• Facilitate the continuing education of teachers, administrators, and support staff to improve their effectiveness and efficiency.
