The Laredo Independent School District and the Curriculum and Instruction Department recognize the importance of providing rigorous, systematic reading and Writing instruction to all students in order to meet the high standards that the Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills require. Elementary Reading and Writing are components of the L.I.S.D. Curriculum and Instruction Department.
