Pregnancy Education, and Parenting Program

The purpose of the P.E.P. Program is to reduce the number of students who dropout of school due to pregnancy of parenthood. Through a unique educational approach, the PEP program fosters confidence, knowledge and self-esteem designed to help the students become responsible and effective parents while completing their high school education and working toward productive careers.

Who can enroll?

Any pregnant or parenting (female and male) student residing in the Laredo ISD who is under 21 years of age.

Where can one enroll?

You may get information from your school counselor, nurse, or contact the PEP Office at 956-273-1770.

 Who will help?

The PEP Facilitator can enroll you into the program and begin services.

General Education Homebound Services (GEH)

Any student who is served through the GEH program must meet the following three criteria:

· The student is expected to be confined at home or hospital bedside for a minimum of 4 weeks. The weeks need not be consecutive.

· The student is confined at home or hospital bedside for medical reasons only.

· The student’s medical condition is documented by a physician licensed to practice in the United States.
