Halloween Expectations
The safety of our students and staff is of the highest priority. Laredo ISD Police continues to work closely with Laredo PD as well as all other local law enforcement agencies to monitor and address any threats posed to our LISD community. Please be reassured that staff have been alerted to be highly vigilant of any kind of suspicious behavior that may pose a threat to students and staff.

Congratulations to Nixon High School senior golfer Sammy Moreno who shot a hole-in-one at a recent golf tournament hosted by Cigarroa High School at Casa Blanca Golf Course. Sammy was presented with a plaque by Cigarora High School for his outstanding accomplishment.

Local law enforcement agencies have placed all local schools on secure as a precautionary measure due to a threat. More details will be shared as they become available. Parents, please avoid going to school as no students are being released at this time. LISD is taking precautionary measures to keep students safe.
LISD's Annual Employee Pink Walk united us all in support of the fight against cancer! Administrators joined forces with our district ambassadors Melissa Valdez, Lamar Middle School Principal, David Charles, Martin High School Athletic Coordinator/Head Football Coach, and Benny Cabello, Nixon High School Athletic Coordinator/Head Football Coach, who are leading the charge to raise funds for the American Cancer Society. To kick off the celebration, LISD's Health and Occupational Safety Support Services, Transportation Department, Police Department, and local law enforcement agencies held a proclamation ceremony, followed by a parade, stopping at elementary and secondary schools across the Tiger, Mustang, and Toro feeder patterns.
This week promotes school bus safety and encourages everyone—parents, students, educators, and community members—to join forces in prioritizing safety on the road and in our schools.
