In recognition of International Week of the Deaf, Cigarroa HS raised awareness through a Deaf Coffee Chat event. Students from the American Sign Language class together with the Regional Day School Program for the Deaf students communicated through the use of sign language.

The Laredo Independent School District Board of Trustees dedicated the new Martin High School Multi-Purpose Building in memory of former educator, the late Maria Estela Quintanilla. Quintanilla was a teacher at Martin High School for 35 years until she retired in 2012. She was also the District Coordinator for LISD Campus Crime Stoppers.
CHS Cheerleaders are in search of Laredo’s finest and most talented Cheer and Dance teams in South Texas to participate in an upcoming holiday program. CHS is currently accepting registrations for their Annual Cheer&Dance Christmas Classic Competition for Saturday, December 10.
