Laredo ISD releases students at Memorial Middle School Students at Memorial Middle School are being released today at 1:00 p.m., due to a water leak in a section of the school. The LISD Child Nutrition Program is providing lunch for all students. The LISD Transportation Department is providing busses for students who normally rely on this service. Parents are asked to pick up their children at 1:00 p.m. Students are expected back in school tomorrow, Tuesday, March 25, as regularly scheduled. LISD custodial and maintenance staff are currently drying the impacted classrooms and preparing the facilities for tomorrow. McDonalds hosted LISD McTeacher Night at various locations this week to benefit LISD schools. Daiches Elementary School administration, staff, students, and their families came out to McDonalds on Saunders during the schools McTeacher Night Fundraiser. Staff participated by helping sell cookies to help raise funds for their schools.

The Greatest Reading Show at Macdonell Elementary! Under the big top of imagination, families gathered for a spectacular Family Reading Night filled with storytelling magic! The spotlight shined on celebrity guest reader, Joe Ojeda, keyboard player for Selena y Los Dinos, as he took center stage to read to our students! The night was even more spectacular with show-stopping performances by the talented Alessandra Pruneda, Daleyza Cruz, Makayla Lucio, and the incredible Hawk Choir, under the direction of Samantha Lopez!
