Congratulations to Joaquin Lopez on auditioning and qualifying for a spot in the TMEA Region 14 High School Honor Winds! Joaquin participated in the high school Region 14 concert and clinic Friday and Saturday December 12th and 13th at the Victoria Fine Arts Center in Victoria, TX. He was the ONLY middle school student to earn a spot in the Honor Winds group comprised of the top high school band students from region 14(Laredo, Victoria, Corpus Christi)

CONGRATULATIONS to 8th grade CUB BAND student JOAQUIN LOPEZ! Joaquin competed yesterday, Saturday December 6th, at the TMEA HIGH SCHOOL ALL REGION BAND COMPETITION. The competition took place at Alice High School in Alice, TX. He competed against the top 23 trombone players from all the high schools from Laredo, Victoria, Corpus Christi and surrounding areas. Joaquin placed 4th overall and earned a spot in the TMEA HIGH SCHOOL HONORS BAND and will be participating in the Concert and Clinic. The concert and Clinic will be taking place in Victoria, Texas on Friday and Saturday December 12th and 13th. CONGRATS JACK!!!

Mikayla Villarreal represented Christen Middle School at the 31st Mariachi Extravaganza National Vocal Competition at the Lila Cockrell Theater in San Antonio Texas. Mikayla did an amazing performance and showed Christen CUB Pride. She was judged by the famous Jonathan Palomar and Steve Carrillo. We are proud of her accomplishment.

Mariachi Los Tigrillos De Oro performed at the LISD Civic Jamaica at the LPAC. JV and Varsity shared their talents on stage and represented their Christen Middle School  Pride.
