Dear Parents and Guardians,
Tomorrow and Wednesday, our students will be participating in the Texas English Language Proficiency Assessment System (TELPAS). This assessment is a vital tool that helps us measure our students' progress in learning English and ensures we are providing the best possible support for their academic growth.
To ensure your student has the best testing environment possible, please note the following requirements:
đ Attendance and Timing
Attendance is critical: Please ensure your child is at school on both testing days.
Arrive on time: Testing begins promptly in the morning. Late arrivals can disrupt the testing environment for others and may result in your student needing to attend a make-up session.
No early dismissals: Students cannot leave the testing room once they have started. Please do not schedule doctorâs appointments or early pick-ups for tomorrow or Wednesday.
đť Technology Preparation
Charge Chromebooks: Students must charge their devices fully tonight.
Bring Chargers: Please send the charging cable to school with the Chromebook.
đ Logistics and Supplies
No Backpacks: To maintain a secure testing environment, backpacks are not allowed in the building on these two days.
Leave Electronics at Home: All non-testing electronic devices (smartwatches, personal tablets, etc.) should remain at home.
đ Health and Wellness
Success starts with a fresh mind! Please help your student:
Get a full nightâs rest.
Eat a healthy breakfast before arriving or at school.
Thank you for your continued partnership in helping our students succeed. We are so proud of the hard work they have put in this year!
Best regards,
Cigarroa Middle School Administration
