Toro Legends 2026

The spirit of Toro excellence was proudly on display as Dr. Leonides G. Cigarroa High School welcomed its newest class of Toro Legends during a special ceremony celebrating distinguished alumni whose achievements have made a lasting impact on their professions and the community.

The event brought together past and present generations of Toros in a celebration filled with pride, reflection, and inspiration. The school’s gymnasium was transformed into a hall of honor as family members, students, faculty, and community leaders gathered to recognize alumni who exemplify the values and legacy of Cigarroa High School — The Pride of South Laredo.

The Toro Legends recognition celebrates graduates who have demonstrated excellence in their careers while maintaining a strong commitment to service, leadership, and community engagement. Throughout the morning, honorees reflected on their time at Cigarroa High School and the experiences that helped shape their personal and professional journeys.

Cigarroa H.S. students played a special role in the ceremony by presenting heartfelt tributes to each inductee, sharing highlights of their accomplishments and the positive impact they continue to make beyond the classroom. The event served not only as a moment of recognition, but also as an opportunity to inspire current students to pursue their goals and continue the proud tradition of Toro excellence.

Cigarroa High School Principal Armando Molina welcomed the honorees and their families, emphasizing the significance of their contributions and the example they set for future generations.

"These men and women embody the Toro vision: To develop students onto empowered leaders of our community and global society to continue with their post-secondary journey and become agents of positive change in the lives of others," said Molina.
