Vidal M. Treviño School of Communications and Fine Arts is putting safety first with its active participation in the Teens in the Driver’s Seat (TDS) program, which empowers students to develop important habits for safe driving.

This week, TDS members hosted a campus event featuring a fun matching game designed to reinforce essential safety tips. Students who completed the challenge were rewarded with TDS pop sockets for their phones, adding a fun incentive to learning safe driving practices.

In addition to playing the game, students made personal pledges to drive responsibly, demonstrating their commitment to keeping themselves and others safe on the road.

The TDS program at VMT will continue throughout the semester, with events held primarily on Thursdays. Students and staff can look forward to more engaging activities and opportunities to win prizes while promoting safety awareness.

Through programs like TDS, VMT continues to encourage student leadership and responsibility, ensuring that safety is always a top priority both on and off campus.
