Ryan Elementary was buzzing with excitement this morning as students kicked off their day with High Five Friday — a heartwarming event that brought together students, staff, and local community heroes.
A huge thank-you goes out to our honored guests from U.S. Customs and Border Protection, the Border Patrol Horse Patrol Unit, Webb County Constables Precinct 1, the Laredo ISD Police Department, and the Laredo Fire Administration Center. Their presence helped start the day with energy, encouragement, and a sense of safety.
As students arrived on campus, they were met with high fives, fist bumps, and words of encouragement from the visiting heroes. The warm greetings brought big smiles and created a strong sense of pride and community among our Bobcats.
The sight of officers, firefighters, and even horses delighted the students and reminded them just how many caring individuals work hard every day to keep our community safe.
Assistant Principal Karla Ramirez shared, "It was such a powerful way to start the morning. Our students lit up with joy seeing our community heroes here. It’s moments like these that build strong, lasting connections and make our kids feel supported and inspired."
Ryan Elementary is deeply grateful for the time and support of these amazing public servants. Our Bobcats are proud to celebrate and honor those who protect and serve.
High five to a great start and to all our local heroes! 💙👏
