Lamar Middle School joined schools across the nation in celebrating National School Counselor’s Week by recognizing the vital contributions of its campus counseling team. The week serves as a time to highlight the essential role school counselors play in supporting students’ academic achievement, career readiness, and social-emotional development.

At Lamar Middle School, counselors work closely with students, families, and staff to ensure that every student has the tools and support needed to succeed. From academic planning and goal setting to providing guidance during challenging times, the counseling department remains a cornerstone of the campus community.

“Our counselors are advocates, mentors, and leaders on our campus,” said a campus administrator. “They help our students turn obstacles into opportunities and consistently encourage them to believe in their potential. Their impact reaches far beyond the classroom.”

Lamar Middle School proudly recognizes Ms. Pineda, Ms. Munoz, Mr. Ramirez, Ms. Ibarra, Mr. Diaz, and Mrs. Lopez for their professionalism, compassion, and dedication to student success. Through individual counseling sessions, group support, and campus-wide initiatives, the team continues to create a safe and supportive environment where students can thrive.

As National School Counselor’s Week is observed, Lamar Middle School extends its sincere appreciation to its counseling team for their unwavering commitment and the lasting difference they make in the lives of students each day.
