M. B. Lamar Middle School is proud to celebrate the incredible accomplishment of 37 Mighty Lion Band members who qualified for the 2026 All-Region Band. These students competed in the highly competitive All-Region Band Auditions, often referred to as the “Olympic Games” of band, where they went head-to-head individually against students from 17 middle schools and a field of over 600 musicians.
Their dedication and musical excellence earned them a place in the All-Region Band, and they were recently showcased at the Junior High All-Region Clinic and Concert held this weekend at the Student Activity Complex at UISD. The performance highlighted not only their talent, but also the strength of the M. B. Lamar band program.
Band Director Ms. Rodriguez shared her pride in the students’ success, stating, “Watching our students rise to this level is truly special. Their discipline, commitment, and love for music shine through in every performance. I am incredibly proud of each of them for representing M. B. Lamar with excellence and heart.”
