Lamar Middle School is proud to recognize eighth grader Geraldine Islas for being named the LISD November Student of the Month, a districtwide honor celebrating students who demonstrate leadership, character, and academic excellence. Geraldine was selected from students across the district, reflecting her strong work ethic, positive attitude, and commitment to her school community.

The LISD Student of the Month program is proudly sponsored by Laredo Federal Credit Union, Chick-Fil-A Marketplace on Bob Bullock, and Laredo Orthodontics, organizations that partner with the district to highlight outstanding student achievements year-round.

Teachers and staff at Lamar Middle School describe Geraldine as a role model whose quiet determination inspires those around her. Ms. Ramirez, one of Geraldine’s teachers, shared her excitement about the recognition, saying, “Geraldine is the kind of student every teacher hopes for. She is responsible, kind, and always willing to go the extra mile. We are incredibly proud of her and thrilled to see her hard work celebrated.”

Geraldine’s selection brings pride not only to her family, but also to the entire Lamar Lions community. Her achievement reminds students across campus that dedication and leadership truly make a difference.

Lamar Middle School congratulates Geraldine on this well-deserved honor and celebrates her continued success as she represents the campus at the district level.
