M. B. Lamar Middle School recently had the pleasure of hosting the Holdsworth Aspiring Principals from Pecos-Barstow-Toyah ISD for an informative and engaging campus visit. The aspiring school leaders were given a full tour of the campus, observed classrooms in action, and learned about the programs, initiatives, and innovative teaching strategies that make M. B. Lamar a standout learning community.
During their visit, guests were able to see firsthand how teachers integrate technology, creativity, and hands-on learning to engage students and foster academic success. They also had the opportunity to meet with staff and discuss leadership practices, student support programs, and the collaborative culture that drives M. B. Lamar’s continued growth and achievement.
Principal M. Valdez shared her excitement about hosting the visitors. “It was a pleasure to welcome the aspiring leaders and show them how our students and staff work together to create a supportive and innovative learning environment,” she said. “We hope their visit gives them insight and inspiration as they continue their journey in educational leadership.”
The visit was not only a chance to showcase the achievements and programs at M. B. Lamar but also an opportunity to inspire the next generation of school leaders. The aspiring principals left with a deeper understanding of effective leadership, student engagement, and the dedication required to cultivate a thriving school community.
