M. B. Lamar Middle School recently kicked off Red Ribbon Week with an exciting pep rally featuring Constable Gomez as the guest speaker. The event set the tone for a week dedicated to promoting healthy, drug-free lifestyles and encouraging students to make positive choices.
Throughout the week, students participated in a variety of activities designed to reinforce the importance of living drug-free. Classrooms were decorated with creative and colorful themes, and students completed drug-free pledges as part of their commitment to making safe and healthy choices.
Mr. Diaz, M. B. Lamar Middle’s Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor, shared his excitement about the kickoff. “Red Ribbon Week is a great opportunity for students to reflect on the choices they make every day,” he said. “It’s inspiring to see them actively participating and showing commitment to living a healthy, drug-free life.”
