Last night, the M. B. Lamar Middle School Mighty Lion Football Teams closed out their season with two exciting championship games that showcased skill, teamwork, and determination.
The 7th-grade team faced the Christen Cubs and came out on top with a score of 16 to 12, earning the championship title. Meanwhile, the 8th-grade team battled the Cigarroa Bulldogs in a hard-fought game that ended in a 6 to 6 tie, earning them the title of Co-Champions.
The school is proud of the effort, sportsmanship, and dedication both teams demonstrated throughout the season.
A special thank you goes to our administrators Ms. M. Valdez, Ms. J. Dominguez, Ms. E. Sepulveda, Ms. S. Trevino, and Mr. A. Barbosa, our coaches Dovalina, Garcia, Moncivais, Rodriguez, and Salinas, and all of our teachers for supporting our teams. We also thank the families, students, and staff who filled the stands and cheered on our players, helping make this season one to remember.
