Principal's Message

Dear Students, Parents, and Staff, I hope this letter finds you energized, focused, and ready to continue a strong and successful school year at J. Z. Leyendecker Elementary School! As the spring season blooms around us, it brings a sense of growth, renewal, and new opportunities for our Eagle family to shine. Spring is also an important time on our campus as we prepare for STAAR testing in April. Our students and staff are working diligently each day—reviewing skills, building confidence, and striving for excellence. We are incredibly proud of the determination and effort our Eagles are showing as they get ready to demonstrate all they have learned this year. For the 2025–2026 school year, our mission remains the same: to provide a safe, supportive, and academically challenging environment where every child can grow and succeed. Our dedicated teachers continue to create engaging lessons and meaningful learning experiences that spark curiosity, build confidence, and inspire a love of learning. We are especially proud to continue our tradition of excellence as an A-rated campus, a National Blue Ribbon School, and a Texas Honor Roll recognized campus. These accomplishments reflect the hard work of our students, staff, and families. We believe that education is a team effort, and when schools and families work together, amazing things happen. I encourage you to stay connected through our newsletters, Class Dojo, school events, and social media. Your support and involvement make a difference, especially during this important testing season. As always, we welcome our students each day with smiles, open arms, and high expectations.
