- TAKS snacks must be ordered from the Child Nutrition Program
to ensure compliance with the Texas Public School Nutrition Policy
- TAKS snacks must be order 15 days in advance to ensure delivery
- TAKS snacks are not free. The campus will be invoiced for the snacks.
- Use the Special event and Catering Request form to order TAKS Snacks.
- AFTER SCHOOL SNACKS are FREE
- Educational or enrichment activities such as tutorials qualify for free snacks,
except athletics.
- Use the After School Snack Request Form to order
TPSNP Guidelines for TAKS Test Days: Schools and parents may provide one
additional nutritious
snack per day for students taking the TAKS test. The snack must
comply with the fat and sugar limits
of the Public School Nutrition Policy and may
not contain any FMNV or consist of candy, chips or
dessert type items (cookies, cakes,
cupcakes, pudding, ice cream or frozen desserts, etc.)Packaged
snacks must be in
single size servings. |
