Mission: Our mission is to provide the optimal learning environment for students by offering holistic, compassionate, and nonjudgmental health services to students, families, faculty, and staff of the Laredo Independent School District. We will carry out our mission through care of the ill and injured as well as through health promotion activities including health education, screenings, and medical referrals. In doing so, it is our belief that we will improve each student’s school attendance and maximize each student’s ability to learn and to become productive, contributing citizens of our community.
Health Services Department Goals:
- To maximize safety at our campuses by providing for care of the ill and injured.
- To carry out all state-mandated activities related to health services.
- To identify students who have impairments.
- To refer students who have impairments.
- To provide health counseling to students, families, and staff.
- To work in collaboration with community agencies to promote health activities.
