Laredo I.S.D. Campus Crime Stoppers is a non-profit corporation, and though supported by the school district, is a separate entity which works under Texas Government Code Chapter 414. The district office is at Martin High School and the program is made up of four middle schools, five high schools and twenty-one elementary schools. The organization’s mission is to provide students with the opportunity to give anonymous information by phone, text or online about any illegal activities at their campus or by students off campus, thus providing a drug-free and safe learning environment. This organization gives rewards for tips that prevent a crime or tips which lead to the arrest or detention of any student committing an offense. The amount of the reward is decided by the student board of directors at each school where the offense occurred.
